New features of reassigning the visit date
For a special request from You, we developed a special function to iGabinet system that allows you to assign the visit made by you or your patient (or client), to a new term. The reassignment is very useful in a situation, where either you or your patients (or clients) or you are not able to make it on time. If this happens, you can choose other term for the particular visit with ease.
The patient can be then instantly informed with details about this event by using both, traditional e-mail or the brand new SMS message. We will write some more about the new mechanism of system notificationsm in the next 'developer's info'.

Advanced SMS notifications
Recently iGabinet system has made another huge quality leap, if we take a look at its new functionality. The first matter we would like to share with you are the advanced functions of SMS messages module, used to communicate with your patients (or clients) in this way, and for notification purposes of all the system events relevant to a particular person and his visits.
The new functionality allow for composing the SMS messages in a very simple way, no matter what the cellular network your patients (or clients) use, or even the country they are located in, because the new SMS module is perfectly suited to communicate with the cellular networks from all over the world.
Just before you send an SMS message, iGabinet will automatically analyse the network of the particular receipient (or group of receipients), and then calculates the exact cost of this transmission. This allows you to fully controll the ’communications expenses’ in your system.
Finally, the SMS module has the same full history of the SMS messages that were sent, as the history for the e-mail messages. Therefore at any time, you can check the details of every single SMS that the iGabinet system sent.

Advanced system access control
As you probably noticed, recently we put a lot of effort in the security issues of iGabinet system. This time we implemented some advanced system access control, which allows you to precisely decide who, from what computer, in what time, and on what days can access your system.
This gives you a huge contol over the access to your system, because you can limit it with respect to the particular computers in your clinic, or particle hours a single employee can use it.

Backup of the data stored in the system
iGabinet system has been implemented with some advanced mechanisms of automatic backup of all the data stored in the system. It is another protection that was developed in order to prevent the situation of the data loss i.e. when you (or your employee) accidently delete any information using the system's administration panel.
In order to illustrate the example of using the new solution, let's presume that you accidently removed a very important article that was created with lots of effort and time. If such situation happens, now it is possible to restore the article and any other data lost in a similar way, by using one of the backup copies.

Data transmission encryption
In order to provide maximum security and confidentiality of the data while using iGabinet, we implemented the SSL (Secure Socket Layers) method of data transmission encryption, which makes the unauthorized access to your system impossible.
SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data. This process prevents unauthorized users from intercepting data, and from sending false information about you and allows the transmission and collection of private data over a website, without worrying about a hacker accessing it.
There is no such thing as security without risks, however the use of SSL when transmitting data significantly reduces the risk of it being inappropriately intercepted.

A new inner-communication module
From now on, there is a special inner-communication module as an integral part of iGabinet, that is responsible for communication between you and the qualified staff that is responsible for support of your application.
The module is an innovative and one of the most efficient methods of contacting the operators of the system, as it allows you to share your opinions and suggestions, or report any problems for our testers with ease, and makes the phonecalls completely unnecessary.
The whole communication that is made this way is completely private and is also permanently stored, so you can get back to it at any time, if necessary.

Integrated payment module
A new payment module has been integrated with iGabinet system, which allows you to easily manage both the paid and yet unpaid invoices, for any desired period and then to print them.
The payment module also allows better payment and cost management, as well as the access to the detailed history of invoices, which makes it possible to find any information about the payment in a specified period (e.g. for the additional services).

Expanded functionality of mailing module
We have just finished some brand new features, that extend the mailing module, that is part of iGabinet system and is responsible for correspondation of the clinic with its patients. All the messages are now stored in a way that allows them to be reused in any desired way.
The message that is composed once, can be afterwards used as a pattern (or base) for composing another one. This feature is very useful for instance, while sending birthday or christmas wishes to your patients.
It is also possible to send a new message to once specified group of receipients, who were previously sent another one. Therefore you are now able to send serial correspondence with specific groups of your patients.

Context-based help mechanism
After a lot of hours of hard work, we finally managed to develop a brand new context-based help functionality, that is now inseparable part of [gabintet] system. The results are very satisfactionary.
The mechanism of context-based help is a great tool accompanies each page of the administration panel of iGabinet. The help is dynamically loaded on demand for the page that the user is on at the moment, and shows its detailed functionality and description of all the operations available.
The help elements are linked with each other hierarchically, and the mechanism allows you to freely navigate between them with ease.
As a result, while using iGabinet system, you have an instant access to the information you need at the moment. The use of the system has therefore become a lot easier and the time that is necessary for operating it has been greatly reduced.
